Streaming Class
Now that your device has been setup, starting the stream is easy!
Using Larix Broadcaster
- Open the Larix app on your device.
- Make sure your device is in landscape (horizontal) mode.
- Press the Record button. Press this to GO LIVE! To indicate you are streaming you will see the following visuals:
A - The red record circle becomes a red square.
B - Mute button to turn off sound. If this is white, then customers will not be able to hear you.
C - A timer begins counting how long the stream has been running.
D - Camera flip to switch between front and rear facing cameras.
E - Volume level indicator.
F - An indicator on what stream you are connected to; and connection speed:
First # is current upload speed, second # is total data transferred. - Teach class, have a great time and don't worry about getting booted off!
- Press the Stop red square to finish the stream when complete.
Larix Screen
- Record / Stop Button - Press this to GO LIVE! Changes to a red square when live to stop.
- Settings - To make changes to streaming setup.
- Camera & Display Settings - Used to adjust exposure and display options.
- Mute Audio - This must be off (not white) to ensure audio is transmitted.
- Screenshot - Take a screenshot during class - Nice for your social media if you have a helper available to get photos for you.
- Frames Per Second - Generally 30 fps will appear (based upon your settings).
- Streaming Time - How much time you have been streaming this session.
- Camera Flip - Flips between the front and back cameras (Mirroring is not necessary like in Facebook).
- Audio Level - You should try to keep this green/yellow; Orange/red will mean loss of audio quality as it is too loud.
- Steam Name - Generally My Fit Pro (based upon your settings).
- Upload Rate - Displayed in Mbps to show your current connection speed (may go up/down during class).
- Upload Total - Displayed in Mbps to show how much data in total has been transmitted (increases during class).
Using OBS
- Start OBS on your Windows or Mac
- Click on Start Streaming.To indicate you are streaming you will see the following visuals:
A - Start Streaming changes to Stop Streaming .
B - A timer begins counting how long the stream has been running.
C - Counter on current bandwidth being used for the stream. - Teach class, have a great time and don't worry about getting booted off!
- Click Stop Streaming to finish the stream when complete.
